About Us Our Services Why Preventative Screening? EBT Technology Frequently Asked Questions For Physicians Research and News Location and Contact
EBT Heart & Body Imaging was founded by Dr. Marc Kahn in 2001. A Michigan native and board-certified radiologist, Dr. Kahn recognized early the incredible benefits derived from EBT and the need for a better screening option for individuals at risk for developing heart disease and cancer.

Since our opening, thousands of people have visited our center for heart, lung, colon and full body scans, and our technology and medical expertise has had a profound, often lifesaving impact for many of those identified with disease. This includes many Canadian residents who are not offered these services through Ontario’s government health program.

Our tests are especially useful for people who know they are at risk, but whose doctors have not yet found evidence of disease through traditional tests performed during a routine physical. Risk factors may include a family history of disease, or various lifestyle considerations (smoking, lack of exercise, high stress). An EBT scan can either detect or rule out your risk for disease at this time—letting you and your doctor plan accordingly.

Screening for pre-clinical disease is not a new concept. Mammograms are routinely used to detect problems for which there are no outward symptoms. Yet no one can deny the usefulness of this test in saving lives.

A heart, body or colon screening embodies the same principal. Just because you can’t see or feel disease doesn’t mean its not there. Thanks to advanced imaging technology, you can now take a look at the body’s internal organs, searching for signs of heart disease, cancer, aortic aneurysm, kidney stones, polyps and other problems.

Problems that are found early can be treated more easily, less invasively and less expensively than you may have thought possible!
